A Message From Our PTSO President:
Note: The GS@IP PTSO is not a program or department of the Manassas City, Manassas Park City, or Prince William County Public Schools but an independent organization which has obtained the approval of the above named school divisions to support its school, students, teams, programs, and extracurricular activities. All funds raised by GS@IP PTSO are used for school-related purposes.
Welcome back to our returning families! To our new families, welcome to the Governor’s School at Innovation Park community. I hope all of you had a fantastic summer and are excited to start the 2016-2017 school year. It is with great enthusiasm that I invite you to join the PTSO at the school and enjoy another successful year. The PTSO is very proud to support the students from the three school divisions, Manassas City, Manassas Park City, and Prince William County that make up the student body at The Governor’s School at Innovation Park so they can reach their potential and goals.
With the support of parents, the PTSO can continue to help make this unique education experience in Virginia a positive and distinguished one. Parental contribution, whether it is your time, knowledge, or other resources do make a difference and as the president of the PTSO for the Governor’s School at Innovation Park, I encourage you to get involved.
The PTSO operates mainly on donations from its membership. There is no minimum amount to become a member. Funds are also raised through the sale of spirit wear and fundraising. The PTSO provides social and academic events throughout the year and supports the programs the director of the school schedules. It is the parents and their support that truly makes the unique educational experience at the Governor’s School at Innovation Park a phenomenal opportunity for the students.
I look forward to getting to see returning families and meeting new families this year. Please come to a meeting, stop at the PTSO table at Parent Night or contact the PTSO through the PTSO email. On behalf of the PTSO Executive Board, the teachers, staff and volunteers at the Governor’s School at Innovation Park, welcome!
PTSO President, GS@IP
