Inclement Weather Schedule

In preparation for inclement weather season, we want to remind everyone of the delayed or closing policy for the Governor's School.

We follow the PWCS schedule for closing or delays.

A Code Green or Code Red for PWCS (no school for students) means that the Governor's School will not be open (students from MCPS and MPCS would still be responsible for their base school attendance for their other classes should MCPS or MPCS be open).

For delayed openings, the following schedule is observed:

  • Period 1: 9:30-10:20 a.m.
  • Period 2: 10:25-11:15 a.m.

Buses: If there is a two-hour delay for PWCS, buses for PWCS, MCPS & MPCS will run but with a two-hour delay for the pick up times.

If MCPS/MPCS are closed due to inclement weather, but PWCS is open, the Governor's School is open.
